Capere in Monchengladbach

Really not nice there. We reserved a table for 8 p.m. and when we arrived on time, we had to wait a long time until someone received us. Instead of being happy that we are there, we were greeted with the words: "Oh, you have come. When you have eaten, we close." Receive. No hello, no good evening. The waitress was also more concerned with maintaining her nicotine level than taking care of the guests. The soup I ordered was probably prepared nicely in the microwave (you could hear the nice ringing). In addition, the music was switched off before dinner, probably to give us a sense of the fact that we should get out of the dust as quickly as possible and not delay the end of the day. In short: I've never felt so badly treated in a restaurant. By the way: At the moment, the operator only wears the mask the first time they make contact, and not afterwards. Data protection is also written in lower case and you have to register yourself in a college block in which you can happily pick out the names and addresses of other guests. As usual, there is no separate list for each table.

The new / current condition is a catastrophe! The first time we thought "maybe she's having a bad day" then we heard that people we knew had the same problem. Nevertheless we just gave it a second chance, unfortunately in vain ... because as it turned out, the second time was even worse than the first. I just ignore their extremely unkempt appearance (served with flip-flops, T-shirt was visibly sweaty, hair was greasy, fingernails very dirty). I also see wearing mouth and nose protection or washing hands while standing behind the counter, coughing. Including us, only 2 more tables of 2 people were occupied. In the beginning, our drinks order was forgotten again because her cell phone was probably more important at that time. When the food finally arrived, the cutlery and the pizza rolls were of course forgotten, as was the requested salt. When the drinks were empty at some point, of course, there weren't any new ones. At some point we approached the lady about it, and she said to us "Sorry, she forgot because there was so much going on" (ONLY TWO ADDITIONAL TABLES WERE OCCUPIED !!) When we wanted to pay, it went on ... First we stood at the cash register for half an eternity and not picked up, because the lady had to smoke outside and type on her cell phone. We have always enjoyed going out to eat at Capere, but such an underground service really messes up the whole evening, unfortunately you won't see us here at first. Should you ever find a more competent employee, we would be happy to come back. In this sense.

The food tastes delicious! The long wait is definitely worth it. But the operation here is a NO GO! Very rude and above all outrageous. As a restaurateur you should think 3 times who to hire and who not. Dear trained and friendly staff. Based on today's experience, I will never enter the restaurant again.

We wanted to test the Capere despite the bad reviews and were unfortunately disappointed. There were 3 tables occupied. We ordered 3 simple pizzas and a salad, we had to wait an hour for that. A pizza came much later than everyone else and wasn't through. In the meantime, a couple got up from the next table and wanted to go due to the long wait, after which there was a roar from the kitchen. The service was very, very nice and tried hard, but unfortunately she couldn't improve the miserable kitchen. The other pizzas were good, the salad had something of "snack" with the dressing bought, but it was delicious.

Very good food, atmosphere very dark but nice atmosphere

I ordered a takeaway pizza with ham, tuna and onions. After ten minutes, the waitress asks me if I would also take the pizza with additional crabs, since the kitchen could not correctly decipher the handwriting of the order slip. So far, so legitimate, you can ask. I answered the question in the negative, because I don't like crabs at all. I was patient and got my pizza less than ten minutes later. When I got home I found out that a) the wrongly filled crabs were mostly washed down and b) the pizza went into the oven again and therefore turned black all around! This is deliberate deception on the customer! What if I am allergic to crabs ??? I have been visiting the restaurant regularly for ten years and have recommended that that was it for me, never again Capere! Just sad and poor. Unfortunately, the latest Google reviews confirm my experience today. @ Capere Team: Then just close the shop when you are tired of it.

We loved going to Capere for many years because the atmosphere and the food were always great. Unfortunately, it has happened to us for the second time now that we were sitting at our table for what felt like an eternity before anyone even noticed us. Then we waited again for about 15 minutes until our drinks (2 colas) were served. We waited for our main course for over 1 hour (simple pasta dishes). And there were no inquiries in between whether we would like to have a drink. The service there is now a disaster. I don't want to go into the external appearance of some of the service staff here! We will eat elsewhere for the time being, until this mismanagement is finally resolved. Hopefully !!

Cozy / quaint, a bit dark. The food is always delicious. The service is always friendly, even if a little overwhelmed, but tried hard.

Our conclusion on the visit yesterday: You were always trying. One of us would have loved to eat a rice dish. Unfortunately, there was none and none of the 'alternative dishes'. The pizza salami was equipped with 5 accurately arranged salami slices. Very little on a pizza with a diameter of 30cm. The ordered mojito was only accepted and then canceled with the words 'I don't know how it works and would have to call someone who tells me how to do it'. If the waitress hadn't been nice in itself, we would all have been really angry. It was better a few years ago. Maybe the new owners have to 'come in' first, let's see ...

Know this place for years. The food was good. The staff was friendly. What did not work: When it was empty but still about 7 tables were occupied, the waitress actually ignited a cigarette in the pub and washed glasses with a cigarette in his mouth. When she realized that we were visibly shocked, the lady then went to the door. I found that impossible!

Super Location. Very nice atmosphere. But delicious food. Service friendly but just takes ETERNALS. Until one comes, then after ordering alone for the drinks you had to ask twice. After half to three quarters of an hour, 4 out of 6 people got the drinks. Pretty bad.

Pizza arugula special. She tasted really good

Food ok. However, the implementation of the dishes varies from day to day. Operation seems to be untrained and has e.g. not asked about the type of preparation when ordering the steak. Then came "Medium". The two biggest drawbacks: 1. The amount of dust in the restaurant is critical for allergy sufferers. 2. No card payment possible.
